I was ten years old when the Matrix sparked something in me, and since then, film has been my compass. Like many, I started making scrappy little shorts with my friends back in 2004, using whatever cameras we could get our hands on. In high school, I threw myself into every project I could, competed in local festivals, and yes, I made the senior film my year.
That early obsession never left. It just evolved. Over the years, I found my place behind the scenes—building the worlds that stories live in. Now I’m a proud union member with IATSE 488, working in the art department on productions I once dreamed about from my bedroom floor.
As cliché as it sounds, I’m living the dream. I get to be on set, collaborate with artists who inspire me, and contribute to something that’s bigger than all of us. Film raised me, shaped me, saved me more than once. And now, I get to give something back to it—one story at a time.
